When Your Light Is Exposed On Me
“When your light is exposed on me, meeting again would be a darkroom”

Thesis project of a Cinema 4D class hosted by Zaoeyo, taken a few months into the pandemic quarantine. Having studied and worked in the US for over three years without returning home, I set the theme to be related to my hometown, Chongqing. The series of imagery is made of pieces from my home that hold a special place.
Inspired by the films "Kaili Blues" (2015) and "Crosscurrent"(2016), which both took place near Chongqing.
Seeking to reminisce the nostalgic atmosphere of being under the overcast sky by the Yangtze River, surrounded by mountain ranges. I explored childhood recollections brought back the warmth and the scent of aged furniture and artifacts in my grandmother's apartment.
The project was named after a quote from “Kaili Blues”.
